The GirlGeeks program is to empower and inspire young girls in colleges and young women in industry. We believe in fostering innovation, leadership, and inclusivity in the technology space, be it academia or industry. The initiative took flight in 2018 with engaging workshops held at BMSIT College in Bangalore, sparking enthusiastic feedback. Building upon this success, the team has continuously refined the program. In 2023, pivotal milestones were reached with the inception of HackBout, a dynamic 36-hour hackathon, and another hackathon extending it to colleges beyond Bangalore. Following this trajectory, the upcoming Girl Geeks event in Karnataka aims to extend its impact to other cities within the state, while also considering expansion beyond its borders.
