The IEEE CS Bangalore Chapter conducts the “IEEE Computer Society Student Internship & Mentorship Program – IAMPro” every year to provide students with a research internship opportunity and research scholars a mentorship opportunity to connect and grow.
The duration of the internship is 3 to 6 months.
Upon successful completion of the internship, students will receive the INTERNSHIP COMPLETION CERTIFICATE from IEEE CS Bangalore.
Internship projects will be provided within the broad areas of:
AI and ML; Cyber/Data Security; Blockchain; Cloud Computing; Data Mining; Grid Computing; Image Processing and Computer Vision.
Student Internship
Student Requirements:
(1) Must be an IEEE Computer Society Student Member
(2) Students should undertake the internship as a group (maximum group size: 4 members)
(3) Students should submit the internship request letter endorsed/signed by the IEEE CS student branch faculty advisor or HOD
(4) The Team should interact with the assigned Mentor – at least – once in a week.
(5) The Team should submit an Internship Report after the completion of the Internship.
Mentorship
We are also looking for MENTORS, who would be willing / keen to guide and mentor the student interns of IEEE CS Bangalore.
Requirements for enrolling as a MENTOR:
(1) Must be an IEEE Computer Society Member
(2) Should have 10+ years of outstanding professional experience
(3) Proven track record of technical leadership (publications, patents, etc.)
(4) Should be willing to spend – at least – 1 hour in a week to interact with the student teams; or more as deemed suitable.
(5) Should be willing to provide feedback to IEEE CS Bangalore regarding the performance of the student interns.
